Semolina croquettes recipe
Semolina croquettes are soft and mushy fried croquettes. They can be enjoyed as a snack, dipped in yoghurt or ketchup or as an addition to dinner, next to cooked meat.
Not to say that eating semolina is also incredibly healthy for your body. It is a source of energy and vitamins, and also very high in protein making it the perfect substitute to flour, which vegetarians will be happy to hear.
Semolina croquettes recipe – Ingredients
- ½ cup semolina flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons flour
- Salt to taste

Put the milk in saucepan. Add the semolina flour and boil them until the mixture becomes thick. Add salt to taste.
Add the egg, flour and mix everything really well.
Spread some flour on a countertop and pour the mixture on it. Leave it to cool.
After it is has cooled down, start taking small bits from the mixture and shape the croquettes.
Heat the butter in the frying pan. Add the croquettes and fry them on both sides until nicely brown. Make sure to add croquettes only when the butter is hot, otherwise they will absorb too much butter.
Put them on a plate and serve them as a snack or next to various cooked food.
